A bride gives a waitress a big tip for spilling gravy on mother-in-law in TikTok video.
Usually when waiters spill food on the people they are serving the very last thing they get is a tip.
“Obviously it (the gravy) was hot and it was everywhere,” she told her followers.
“It didn’t burn her, thank God.”

“I spilt a boat of gravy on the bride’s mother-in-law”
Chloe prefaced the rest of the story by explaining that she developed a medical condition – dyspraxia – which made her become quite clumsy and ultimately left her with no choice but to leave her job.
Meanwhile, back to the ordeal, the mother-in-law “had to go and get changed (out of her stained dress) at home so she had to actually drive and go and get changed”.
“Luckily they were all local,” she added.
Naturally, Chloe was “beside herself” because she thought she had “ruined the wedding” that she burst into tears.
But instead of being glared at in horror by the bride – quite the opposite happened.
“The bride came over to me and she shook my hand and she thanked me,” Chloe retells.
“She said ‘my mother-in-law should not have been wearing white to my wedding’.
“And then she gave me a £55 ($98.50) tip and when I see her in town now we still say ‘hi’.”
TikTokkers question if waitress was paid to spill gravy on bride’s MIL
However, commenters were questioning at what point the generous tip was made.
“Are you sure the £55 tip came after the ‘accident’ and not before,” questioned one, with 14,000 others liking the cheeky question.
“I’ve seen someone pour red wine over the mil (mother-in-law) because she was wearing white. People cheered,” added another.
“I would definitely hire you,” a third person applauded.
