Each one of us is a citizen of an increasingly cold and complex World. From immemorial times, we aspire to reach the skies, to surpass the limits, seeking to reach a point where there will never be an end.
More and more, we dream of going to Worlds that look warm but are truly cold in every way, forgetting the beauty of everything we have always had.
Regardless of wealth, race or condition, each of us has always had the most incredible wealth that we do not know how to value: life.
Our main problem, we believe we are immortal; we consider ourselves indestructible, thinking that in our times, death is a ghost from another time that will not torment us. From the most beardless of infants to the most advanced age, our existence is always at the limit of chance and highly conditioned by our own actions.
No matter how much they have the most varied information, Internet search engines cannot cure us, nor can they guide us to have a long and prosperous life. Such is our audacity, which we usually discuss – with the phone in hand as a sword in the war – with those trained theoretically and practically for years to maintain our short presence in this World safe from the typical disagreements of our organism.
Money, so common and vulgar, never can save us. Even those who own the most end up perishing, although their life may be extended for days, months or years; the road leads them to a nightfall in which everybody fall asleep completely alone.
Our existence is a second in the history of the Earth and a thousandth of the universe’s history in all its present, past and future.
We are puppets of nature itself, who manages us at its free will. It does not matter where we come from or where we go; only the here and now matters.
Without knowing who, or how, or where, someone once said, “Life is a play that does not allow rehearsals. So, sing, cry, dance, laugh and live intensely before the curtain closes and the play ends without applause”.
Consciously or unconsciously, we live conditioned. Every man, woman and child come to depend on a tiny hint of vanity, according to which he tries to justify his existence in the World through out-of-step steps. The poorly structured steps lead us to an uncertain future, in which even though we have everything we want, the environment forces us to want more and more.
No past was better, no future will be worse; only who we are and where we are now matters.
We are in a self-sufficient world, which without our need has given us the gift of life without asking absolutely anything in return.
We are in a magical World, where each little being enchants us, can touch us in our humble and perishable hearts. In a World full of life, we do not know how to value in all its essence.
We are in a World in which we live in fear. Fear of rejection, fear of not enjoying ourselves, fear of loneliness. An absurd fear that only prevents us from seeing with the soul and feeling with the heart.
It is our life, the greatest gift that we must squeeze to the last drop, not letting ourselves be carried away because one day it will end, only loving every little moment.
Following the wise Arnaldo Jabor, we have no guarantees in life and in love, nor should we look for them. We must live what we have; we must forget fear. Fear is the worst enemy of love and happiness.
